June Portal Features

The patient app, AI, scheduling, payments, and security — in detail.

Your practice's app, not a vendor's

Patients download your practice's app from the App Store or Google Play. It carries your name, your logo, and your colors. No vendor branding appears anywhere on the screen. Appointments, forms, bills, membership, family access, and messaging all live inside it. To your patients it is simply your practice's app.

X-rays and intraoral photos patients can actually see

Patients open your app and see their own X-rays and intraoral photos. Most people have never looked at their radiographs anywhere except the chairside monitor, with the dentist talking over them. In June the images sit alongside the post-op instructions for the work they just had done and the treatment plan they're deciding on, which is exactly when seeing the picture changes the answer.

Online scheduling built around how you book

June's scheduling is built around how your practice books. You set the appointment types and lengths, the providers, the operatories, and the blockouts. Patients book real appointments for real treatment, scheduled the way your front desk would have done it. Every booking writes back to your practice-management system. If you'd rather check requests first, staff can approve them before they're confirmed.

An automated waitlist that fills cancellations

When an appointment falls through, June works the waitlist for you. It texts patients who wanted an earlier slot, in order, and the first to accept takes the time. The hole in tomorrow's schedule gets filled without anyone at the front desk making a single call.

Appointment reminders that come from you

Reminders arrive as push notifications in your practice's own app, not as another text from a number nobody recognizes. Patients add the appointment to their phone's calendar in one tap, so it sits in the calendar they actually check, alongside everything else in their week.

Digital check-in the day before

Patients check in from their phone the day before. They confirm their medical history, verify their insurance, and sign the consents at home. The appointment starts in the chair instead of at the front desk with a clipboard.

AI clinical notes

June writes your clinical note from the visit itself. Record the appointment and June drafts the note for you to review and sign, so charting stops following you home. The same recording produces a second, separate piece of writing: a plain-language summary for the patient, explaining what was done and what comes next in words they'll actually understand. The clinical record and the patient's copy are written for their own reader.

Voice periodontal charting

Call out probing depths and June records them. Voice perio charting understands dental shorthand, handles missing teeth, and writes the completed chart and its note back into your practice-management system. No assistant typing while you probe, and no second pass to enter it afterward.

AI that runs under a signed BAA

June's AI runs on HIPAA-covered infrastructure under a signed Business Associate Agreement. It writes the clinical note from your recorded visit. It writes the plain-language summary the patient reads afterward, so they leave knowing what was actually done. It suggests replies to patient messages for your front desk to approve before sending. It reads insurance EOBs, builds a working digital form from a scan of a paper one, and answers questions about your practice numbers asked in plain English.

Digital forms with e-signature

Patients fill out their paperwork before they arrive, because June sends it ahead of the appointment. Forms handle ten field types, conditional logic, and e-signatures stamped with IP address and time. June can also build a digital version of a paper form you already use from a scan of it. Nobody at the front desk re-types a clipboard.

One inbox for patient messages

Your front desk works from one inbox. Patients write from the June app, staff reply from the portal, and a patient without the app receives it as an ordinary text message. Threads stay attached to the patient's record rather than a shared cell phone. June can draft the reply for staff to read over and send.

Online payments that post themselves

Patients see what they owe and pay it online, either in the app or from a link you text them. The payment posts back to their record on its own. Practices use this to collect patient portions without mailing statements or reading card numbers over the phone.

A reviews engine that brings in new patients

After a visit, June asks the patient how it went and points the happy ones to Google. This matters more than it used to. Review volume and recency are now a large part of how Google and AI assistants pick which dentist to recommend when someone searches.

Security and HIPAA

June is built for HIPAA. Every view of patient health information is logged. Staff sign in with multi-factor authentication. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, each practice's records are isolated from every other practice's, and a session can be revoked instantly. June signs a Business Associate Agreement, and the subprocessor list is published at juneportal.com/subprocessors.

Built by dentists, for dentists

June Portal is built by dentists, for dentists. It runs every day in the founders' own practice, where it was built first. It exists because the patient tools bundled with practice-management software were a decade behind, and every alternative meant another monthly bill with another company's name on the app.
